As a solo guitarist and vocalist, he performs a wide variety of cover tunes that span decades and genres—everything from classic rock and country to modern pop. Whether it’s a laid-back brunch set or an intimate evening performance, Kid Shakes creates a relaxed and engaging atmosphere through warm, dynamic vocals and familiar song selections.

Full Band Performances

Drawing on his years of experience as a performing musician, radio personality, and club DJ, Kid Shakes reimagines familiar tracks with a style that puts the focus on musicality and emotion. He performs regularly with "The Kingfish Band," and will use his own backing band, "Whiskey Business," for shows that require the "Kid Shakes" show with the power of a full-band .

Original Music

Kid Shakes has been writing and recording music on and off since the 1990's. Some of his most successful releases were recorded with former band Haskell 3. Many have yet to be recorded. While entertaining with familiar, sing-along hits is the main focus at an average show, Shakes will mix in an original tune now and then, especially for those long-time ride-or-die fans who can distinguish themselves by singing every word.
